I know we need a Covid test within 72 hours prior to boarding my flight to Maui.
im leaving from Georgia on Monday afternoon Feb 1st staying 2 nights in SF then leaving to Maui on Wednesday morning Feb 3.
I think I’ll get the test in Georgia Monday morning that way I’ll have the results before my flight to Maui. Is this ok? I don’t have to do the in SF right? It can be done in Georgia as long as the results are back within and before my Maui flight.
have you heard how is SW dealing with this? Is the negative test results a requirement to board? Will SW let you board if you don’t have your results?

As long as you meet the time requirements for entry to Hawaii, it should not make difference, geographically, where you get the test.
WHO administers the test IS important:
"All passengers age five and older who show proof of a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test from a State of Hawaii approved Trusted Testing Partner taken within 72 hours of boarding the last flight of their journey to Hawaii"
