New luggage specs say messurements are 29.5x20x9.75=59.25". This does not include the wheels so I added another 1.5"=60.75. Wanted to measure the bag myself but not getting same measurements as manufacture so now I am afraid that I will be over in inches. Since each family member has one of these bags each now afraid of paying $75x4. So my BIG question is how exactly are you to measure? I watched a video saying you dont measure wheels or outside pockets just the main frame of luggage. So confused! Thank you for any help.

Hi @kimmann73,
Southwest will accept the first two checked bags for free provided that the bags do not exceed 50 lbs and 62 inches (L+W+H). It sounds like your bag comes in just under that, so you'll be fine.
