I am suppose to travel to the Dominican Republic with my 2 year old in July, and we are thinking of canceling. I understand that tickets can be cancelled and a credit will be given but has to stay in the same name. Does that apply for babies/toddlers? Where am I going to send my 2 year old so he can use his ticket? I am hoping I'll be able to have his credit transfered to me. How stick are they about this rule?

Yes, it applies to all travelers. You can always ask Southwest for an exception but I don't recall seeing any reports on the message boards of that being successful.

For future reference, Southwest sells an Infant Fare that is fully refundable. This fare is, however, much more expensive than the Wanna Get Away fare purchased online (it's a discount off of the Anytime fare, and you must call in order to purchase).
