You probably just signed in through the wrong portal! Your application will only show up if you sign in through the Inflight portal on the career page.

It all depends on when they process your application! There are already a few classes that are ready for training. If you pass through the interview process and recieve an offer, they'll let you know what class you'll be in and the start date for training for that class!

You should check out the career portal and sign up for alerts for jobs within SWA that you're interested in! If the job you're interested in isn't available currently, it could take some time for it to come around. Just stay patient! 🙂

There is a lot of information out there about becoming a SWA flight attendant! You can get your information from SWA's website, here in this forum, or on one of multiple FB pages dedicated to prospective flight attendants- Flight Attendant Career Connection and SWA Flight Attendant Candidates are my favorite FB groups. I would check all of that out if I was just starting out on this journey!

@JC34 From everything I've heard, honesty is the best policy! You won't be faulted for having tattoos. They just need to be able to be covered by the uniform.

@JazzyGirl23 Your status only changes to "Under Review" when they are reviewing your application. Since there was such a high volume of applicants, it might take them a while to get to your application! No issues there. 🙂

No, still nothing! I have reached out to the woman who interviewed me, as well. Nothing. Meanwhile, almost everyone on the facebook page heard back (whether they were moving forward to f2f or not) within 4 days and most of them had their phone interviews after me. I'm going a little stir crazy.

Hi, all! I was hoping someone on here could help me out, as I've been very confused about something of late. I had my phone interview on 2/21, and I thought it went well. The woman who interviewed me informed me that I would recieve a phone call within the next four business days about whether or not I would be selected to move forward in the process. It's been over a month since then, and I haven't heard back about it. While I'm very okay with waiting, I'm concerned over that "four business days" part not happening. I was hoping one of you had a similar experience and could advise me, or that a moderator like @KelbyTansey could tell me what I should do (if anything). Thanks in advance, LUVlies. Best, Kelsey

These answers all make me so sad! It sucks to think of beautiful curls having to be cut off. Good luck on the interview either way.

@KeithPitman Keith, I'm sorry to say I have bad news from you on that front! It wasn't a Dallas number. My specific recruiter called from a Phoenix (602) phone line. Like I said before, though, if you miss your call, then they do leave a voicemail. So don't stress too much about it! It does mean that whenever you answer a strange number, you've gotta have your happy voice on haha. Good luck, and I also hope to one day be travelling the skies with you! Best, Kelsey

@KeithPitman Morning, Keith! I started my application on the 5th immediately when the portal opened, but due to the site shutting down so many times I wasn't able to complete it until about 11 AM. So, it took roughly 2 hours. I immediately recieved the confirmation email that my application was successfully submitted (I notice some people had issues with a delay on that). The next day, the status changed to "Under Review". Hope that helps! @tchilson Hey, T! I don't think it was so much what they were looking for. I think they're going in the order they recieved the applications. Trust me, I'm not special when it comes to my resume skills. I sent in a very standard application, with a few customer service jobs listed on my resume. The only other thing that I did that could have set me apart by a small margin was that I had been recommended by a flight attendant who has worked for the company for 16+ years. This didn't come into play until after I recieved my first call about scheduling an interview, though. I recieved a form I had to fill out on work history and all that. My interviewer uploaded that form to my portal after scheduling the interview, to be completed within the week.

Keith is right! I recieved a phone call on Feb. 9th to schedule a phone interview. As I missed the call, it went to voicemail. After getting back in contact with the SWA employee, we scheduled my phone interview for the 21st. The interview went well, and I was told that the first group being interviewed would hear back shortly via phone call once they came to their decision on who would be cut/have a f2f interview. I recieved an email confirming that from my interviewer. Now, I'm just waiting for that next step! You don't need to worry about not catching an email because they set it all up through telephone communications. Hope that helped a little bit with what you should keep an eye out for! Best of luck, Kelsey

@meleniersiberts A lot of people experienced this problem, and SWA said on Twitter that they were working on fixing that in a reply tweet. Don't freak out! Remember, the moderators said it would be open until Feb. 7th. They're just undergoing technical difficulties. Keep refreshing and trying!

@kellirenee Hey! So, something similar happened to me. Did it pop up when you thought you were going to the next page saying, "Thank you for your submission!"? Mine said that and after not recieving a corresponding email, I went back to the careers portal and my application was right there on my Dashboard marked "incomplete". So I went through another 45 minutes of hot mess and refreshing and it's complete now. An email was sent to me at the same time, confirming my application. Don't quit until you get an email!

Just keep refreshing! I thought I was losing my mind, and I've been glued to the computer since midnight just waiting for the position to go up. After getting a few tabs done, I got a message on the screen saying "Thank you for your submission!" If this happens to you, that's not the end! Go back into the careers portal and right there on your dash will be your incomplete application. Don't get discouraged! Just keep refreshing and it'll come through eventually. I finished mine about an hour ago after many of the site crashes that you're experiencing.

Hey! I just completed my application and they don't ask for a bunch of referrals! The closest thing to that would be when they ask how you found out about the position. If an employee referred you, you can post their name/ID #. Other than that, it's a very standard application! Basic information, uploading resume, answering a few questions to make sure you are "eligible", and a few self-identification forms that you can e-sign. That's it. Good luck!!!! wrote: Thank you @KelbyTansey! If our profile is already complete and resume uploaded, etc on the iCIMS Dashboard, we just need to be ready once the window opens to hit reply, is that correct? I read somewhere we will need to submit three letters of referral, will that need to be during this process of post-application? This forum is FANTASTIC btw!!! Thank you for all calming our nerves! 🙂 - Jauxniece

Under their "tweets and replies" tab. A lot of us have been contacting them about their connectivity issue/the job listing disappearing, and SWA reassured the posters that they were working on it. wrote: Hey! Where did you see this on their twitter? I've been looking and have had no luck, haha!

According to their Twitter account, they are working reaaalllllyyyy hard to get it back up and running for everyone. With so many people trying to apply, though, it's no wonder it keeps crashing. Good luck!! wrote: @kelchrisjohnson Thank you for sharing -- the is great news... and good inquiry on how to follow up... I do not know the process. Given my experience on the community I am sure one of the SWA employee moderators will post a process to check applications.. My profile is complete --- no application get ... I'll get on the next open seat...sometime -- smiles

Hey! I do think that the only place listed was Dallas since that is their main hub and it's an open application. I also believe that they only posted the opening at 9 am. You're definitely not the only one struggling about the Dallas only thing. They'll probably assign bases later on, though. Good luck!!! wrote: I am trying to apply as well but Dallas is the only flight attendant position that comes up??? I live in Houston and want to apply for a Houston Position! is everybody showing only Dallas as the flight Attendant position to apply for? Also I have been searching on the website since around 8:00 AM and the site was showing nothing and kept crashing!!!

Hey, hey. I was hoping someone might know how to check that your application went through properly! I got a "Thank you for your submission!" screen, but all the site crashes make me a little leery about accepting that up front. So please reply if you know how to check the status of your application! Thanks, K.

I'm just another average Jane, also applying to be a flight attendant, but don't freak out! I know this might sound like a giant pain, but you could always register for a new account with a different email address. If I was in your shoes, I'd be checking my spam folder. If that didn't work out, I'd use a different email address. If you don't have a backup email account, it only takes a few minutes to sign up for one!
