The tent looks fine, although I would suggest wrapping some tape around it to hold in the straps. You don't want the straps loose and getting tangled up with anything else. I've seen people check hiking backpacks so it should also not be a problem as long as your overall dimensions L+W+H fall under 62". Again you'll want to keep it contained as much as possible to avoid getting snagged or damaged. Southwest will probably have you sign a damage waiver since neither is a standard suitcase.
