I am not sure everyone at Southwest feels thankful for your customers. I usually fly southwest (use to fly twice a week now a bit less) and generally have no complaints I have to say my experience today was appalling. We were on a flight from Tucson to LAX and were greeted by the most RUDE flight crew I have ever in my many many flights experienced. One gentleman staff member actually got on the intercom and said when I ask for your garbage and tray tables up give me your garbage and put your tray tables up, we don't have time for this. HOLY COW really? I understand a need for safety and getting things done but I believe there is a right way and a wrong way to do this and deal with people who are non-compliant. The whole flight was this way and the majority of the crew was this way. Thank goodness it was only an hour flight and I pity the poor people headed to Iowa after we got off the plane. Just thought you should know

They were doing this at Love Field on Friday when we checked into our flight. We were about to get into the normal line, but at the line entrance there was a SWA agent who mentioned the express bag drop off and pointed us over to some kiosks to print our boarding passes so we could use it. (We normally don't print our boarding passes at home)
We printed our passes and came back and didn't have to wait AT ALL! The regular check-in line was probably a 5-10 minute wait but absolutely nobody was in the express drop off line. Dropped off our bags and were on our way. Makes me wonder why anyone was in the regular line. I assume that since it's so new, most people don't know what it is. If they did we probably wouldn't have been able to get through so fast. The representative still checks the weight, gives you claim tags and checks your IDs.
It worked great for us because no one was using it, but I don't know how much time it would actually save once more customers start using it. I don't really see much of a long-term benefit unless it allows SWA to install additional kiosks due to a reduced cost, or perhaps it would require less employees to operate than the traditional ones.
Short Term = Great
Long Term = ????

When is Southwest going to start flying to Minneapolis? Does anyone read Flyertalk? There is a link here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=813140 with a lot of posts hoping Southwest will explore that market. The HHH terminal would be perfect for Southwest since there is a rarely a wait at security plus it is brand new.
We are tired of getting ripped off by Northworst and need a good airline.

You've heard some Holiday travel tips from Carole Adams, and I want to give you a few more from the perspective of an Employee at the airport. First, remember, your 3-1-1 (no container with more than three ounces of liquids or gels carried in one clear quart-size ziplock bag for one Customer). Second, DO NOT wrap gifts. (The Transporation Security Administration had a Holiday web site.) If you do insist on wrapping them, just KNOW they might be unwrapped for inspection. Don't forget that 3-1-1 applies to your gifts too! If you purchased any gifts with liquids or gels (snow globes and bath set, anyone?), you should consider shipping your gifts ahead of your travel. Third, get to the airport early for the busy Holiday Season. Lastly, before you go through security checkpoint be sure to take all metal items off and put them in your carryon bag, take your shoes off, and take laptops out of bags and place in a separate tub. Follow these steps, and hopefully you'll get through security just a little quicker than normal.

After being a long-time resident of Denver, and seeing the affect when Southwest comes to town, it would be very beneficial to Southwest to start using the Memphis airport. UA was the clear choice in Denver until LUV came to town. My family and I always flew Southwest even though I was employed by UA and had flight privileges. Please consider MEM as your next expansion!

Airport signage methodology should target different personality types. Signs commonly appear in large bold font hanging off ceilings where overconfident people constantly gaze, but these people already know where everything is located in an airport.
Why aren't signs painted on the floor for the downtrodden lost sould who knows he has no hope of locating anything once he steps into the terminal. Maybe the floor would look like the introduction to a Star Wars epic saga, but at least someone of low self-esteem, or some poor pathologically shy person could find a bathroom or a baggage claim. If Dorothy could have found a yellow brick road in time, maybe she could have taken a bus instead of a house to see the wizard.

I loved this idea of reusing the material. However, I think you made a mistake in sewing the quilts the way you did. If you would have done tie quilts they function exactly the same way and you could have done many more quilts in a tenth the time. I know, I did this for my Eagle Project with donated fabric.
