Is it true this is in addition to their current uniform choices and not a mandatory switch?
I quite frankly hate the change to a look that every other airline has. Southwest had a chance to one-up Virgin America with their new uniforms designed by Banana Republic, but instead they went with Land's End -_-
The trench coat and boots area a good move though, although I'm not sure a trench coat would provide easy mobility to serve drinks, so hopefully that'll come off in flight. Walking up and down the aisles in boots may also be difficult too.

Is this going to be a new Southwest norm of extending the schedule 1 month at a time? I kind of like it

I've never seen 2 schedule extensions so close together? Any specific reason for this? Maybe keep possible big changes on Monday separate from the regular changes on the last one? I guess we shall see

Kind of off topic, but I was wondering if Southwest was exploring or already committed to the Boeing Sky Interior on the new -700s being delivered from Boeing as part of the Evolve interior product? So with the new deferral schedule in place, the next -700s won't be arriving until 2014, but was still curious.

PLEASEEEEE add a flight from SMF (Sacramento) to Los Cabos!!! It's the only flight that hasn't been picked up by another carrier since the demise of Mexicana. Flight was always packed!

Why aren't new -700's being taken with the Sky Interior? Seems like with the -800's with the BSI, it would have commonality with those, especially when there's like 100 of them flying everywhere.

Is SWA accepting any -700's with the Boeing Sky Interior? I know the -800's and the MAX's will have it, so it seems to me that the savings would be greater for parts to maximize as many planes as possible with the interior, regardless of whether or not some -700's would have it and some would not...also since I'm sure the ones without the BSI would be the first to be retired down the road as they would be oldest.

I wish more elements of the Boeing Sky Interior were incorporated...particularly the new overhead bins and LED lighting.
I also feel those netted seatbacks are going to rip and tear often, although I do like them.

I'm very confused on the whole Volaris/Southwest codeshare going forward. It seems as though Southwest and Volaris are scrambling to see who can get cross-border flights going the fastest. I know Southwest needs the intra-mexico flights of Volaris, but is there a disagreement on the cross-border flights? Last I heard, Southwest's response was "We don't know what their plans are." But now with Southwest adding AirTran flights crossing the border, and assuming they will be transferred to Southwest once the reservation system is complete, it seems as though there is going to be some fighting on the cross-border flights.

Can you post the pdf with the changes?

This is ridiculous and makes me sad at about how people can't read and just yell their opinions out with no context whatsoever. There have been multiple people saying how the animals can't come out of the carrier. And the thing about a giant Labrador sitting next to them, it has to be able to fit under your seat at all times, so obviously that's not possible. And it's been made clear that SWA is virtually the last carrier to allow pets in the cabin, when pretty much ALL other carriers have allowed them for years and years. So I've heard people saying they're switching to American and NWA, when they both allow them and have CLOTH SEATS. I think you should take into account that with all-leather seats as opposed to competitor's cloth seats...leather doesn't hold in the allergies like cloth does, so it can all be scrubbed pretty clean. SWA changes this and the whole world complains and complains, when significant thought has been put into this and how each and every passenger MAY be affected by this. Those who say you will switch airlines, I highly doubt that will happen. SWA already makes accommodations to those with peanut allergies, so you know they're going to be accommodating for this as well. And I agree with the unaccompanied child thing too. I don't think it is SWA responsibility for the care of your child...they are an airline, not a daycare provider. The fact that they will make sure that your child is given better care and will be personally handed over to the correct person at the destination is priceless...it is the safety of YOUR child you are talking about here.

Just to let you know, Southwest doesn't have the 737-700ER, just the 737-700. So check the range for that one.

Thanks a lot. When do you see the -300 and -500 variants going up for replacement? Is it even being planned yet? And do you ever see Southwest possibly going up to a larger plane or at least a larger 737 such as the 737-900ER? I know you are looking at the future 737 model as well.

Would Southwest ever consider the 787 for future use, such as their plans for transatlantic flights? Can the current 737-300, -500, -700 planes even make it across safely? I think the -700 has a farther range, but I'm not sure if it is long enough or cost effective enough with only 117(?) seats. Also, if Southwest is looking at slowing their growth down and is concerned about its 34 737's coming in next year, shouldn't they start replacing their 737-300 and 737-500 models? The -300 series is getting older and they only have 25 of the -500 model. So it seems reasonable to start replacing those if they are looking at a possible surplus of new planes coming in and instead of selling them. It looks better to replace the older planes and sell the older ones so their fleet stays new like everyone likes.
