The upcoming changes to Southwest Airlines' board, with six directors set to retire in November and Gary Kelly retiring after the 2025 annual meeting, signal a significant leadership transition. The board’s decision to appoint four new independent directors, potentially including candidates proposed by Elliott Investment Management, demonstrates their commitment to refreshing the leadership structure. Additionally, the elimination of the executive committee and the creation of a new finance committee reflect a strategic shift in governance. The board’s continued support for CEO Bob Jordan and its engagement with Elliott Investment Management show their intention to maintain stability while addressing stakeholder concerns and fostering collaboration moving forward.

The process of having to book and cancel flights just to combine credits, especially from the same confirmation number, highlights a significant issue in the system. When phone representatives suggest this method due to limitations in their own capabilities, it signals that the company is using outdated technology that fails to provide a seamless experience for customers. This isn’t a loophole but a clear indication that the systems in place are not aligned with the needs of a modern, efficient business.

Hi SoCalFlyer. Thanks for the response.
I've disabled all extensions and the problem persists. Same when I try incognito.
I suspect a cookies problem with my SW cookies. The problem is I don't want to delete all cookies and I can't figure out how to delete just the SW cookies.
Again, other browsers work fine. On the chromebook the only browser that doesn't want to act like a phone or tablet is Opera, so I can use that one instead.
I suspect that Google is the source of the problem as it syncs data across machines. So a problem on one machine might transfer to a second one.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with your flight. If you booked a person of size seat and were assured an extra seat, the airline should honor that reservation. If the flight is full and there’s a problem with seating, it’s crucial to address it with the airline staff immediately. Explain your situation and show your boarding pass with the reserved extra seat. They should be able to assist you or find a solution, such as reassigning seats or arranging for you to be more comfortable. If the issue persists, consider contacting the airline’s customer service for further assistance.

What languages are in demand for bilingual flight attendants. I am 18 and want to use the 2 years I have to study a language that will make me a competitive candidate to hopefully become a bilingual flight attendant .
For a competitive edge as a bilingual flight attendant, focus on languages like Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, or Portuguese. These align well with major international destinations and increase your chances with airlines like Southwest. Prioritizing fluency in one of these key languages will make you a strong candidate.
