Core Roles: “Safety is first and foremost at Southwest, but I am also encouraged to be myself and have fun. For me, that means donning an invisible cape and taking great care of our Customers.”
Giving Back: “My family and I volunteer at The Salvation Army. And through Southwest, we have served many meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Denver.”
With the Band: “My Crew Members and I are known to sing a song or two. I’m learning to play the ukulele so that I can bring it along with me on my trips and have sing-alongs with our Customers.”

Fall typically signals a seasonal product transition, but this fourth quarter transition comes with a little twist. For the first time in over a decade, tequila and margarita mix will be onboard our planes!
Beginning today, Customers are able to purchase margaritas onboard our aircraft with the addition of Sauza Gold Tequila and Mr & Mrs T Margarita Mix to our product offerings.
At the same time, we’re also welcoming our latest seasonal beer onboard—Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest.
In the mood for coffee? Hazelnut creamer is back through the end of the year as well.
With many Customers flying us for the first time as our network expands, it felt like the perfect opportunity to offer more variety to enhance the onboard experience. Be sure to check out the new Inflight Menu to see a list of all of our product offerings.
A special shout out to our Provisioning Agents who worked tirelessly to ensure another successful product transition, and thank you to our Flight Attendants who will have the chance to wow Customers with some great selections!

Ask Eric Huerta what he likes about his job and he’ll passionately exclaim, “everything!” Eric joined the Southwest Family at age 20 and celebrates his 20th anniversary this year. For 19 years, he worked as a Customer Support & Services Agent, serving our Customers on the phones. Eric now stocks aircraft galleys with drinks, snacks, and other supplies to help our Customers have a great onboard experience.
Eric adds a personal touch to everything he does and even leaves handwritten, positive messages for Flight Attendants. What he enjoys most about his job is interacting with his Coworkers. “Southwest is like my second Family,” Eric says proudly.
His positive attitude is a reflection of his motto: work hard, play hard. “Southwest rewards you with good benefits, so I come into work every day with a smile on my face, ready to perform my job to the best of my ability,” he says. “If I can brighten someone’s day, I know more blessings will come my way.”
A native of Houston, Eric is excited about the Houston Hobby International Terminal Project that will add five new gates, enabling Southwest to offer international service from the airport.
Eric’s favorite Southwest destinations are Las Vegas and Panama City Beach, Florida. As an avid outdoorsman, he also enjoys the mountains of Colorado. And when he’s not sharing his smile and can-do attitude with Coworkers and Customers, Eric cherishes every moment with his son, Brandon.
With a heart of gold and a passion for helping others, Eric is a perfect match for Southwest. Thank you for sharing your Servant’s Heart with our Customers for 20 years, Eric, and here’s to another 20!
