I can't help but wonder why amusement parks aren't targeted by larger people when they are told they cannot go on a ride. It is a standard policy that gets little scrutiny. The truth is there is only so much room in any given seat regardless if it is an amusement ride or a plane. On an aircraft, once the room is gone, there is no where else to go but to spill over and infringe upon the traveler in the seat next to you. It is not only a comfort issue and a respect issue to other travelers, but is also a safety issue that requires the need for two seats. Did anyone mention that if the aircraft is not full, that the second seat is fully refunded to a passenger completing such a request?
