Leah J,
I commute from Nashville to Houston and I love to try and get overnights at home so I can sleep in my own bed so the answer to your question is no you don't have to stay at the hotel. I aslo have friends thru out the SWA system and it gets hard to go see them on my days off so I try to get long overnights in there city so I can go visit them I even got to take my neice to her first day of school on an overnight last month . We can also take people on overnights with us and the can stay with you at the hotel (you just have to get it approved first) gotta luv it.

Jeff the cheese nips are the easy snacks to pass out, try the snack packs they are a little harder
to stack in the basket. Thankfully we serve them on flights that are 3 hours or longer so
we have the time. I also wondered if the aisle shrinks when we get in the air. From This
Houston flight attendant Thank you for helping with the snacks!

I have grown up with this company my father has been with Southwest for 23 years and I just had my 7 year annivesary.
Growing up with the SWA culture I would have to say it is very unique. Before I came to work for Southwest I worked for a
couple of companys one was a corperation and the culture was not there. It was just a job that I hated so my father convinced me
to join the SWA team (not alot of arm twisting on his part) and I have not looked back yet. I have held three diffrent jobs with in
SWA, Ramp agent, Operations agent and the most recent is Flight attendant. Our culture even encourages people to change departments. I really don't even consider this a job anymore I have TOO much fun at work to call it a job Its just a way of life that
I luv! You also make a lot of life long friends sad to say but there are some people around the system that have known me since
I was in diapers but I have a big SWA family and it keeps growing.
