I had a problem with Southwest when I was 425 lbs and flying with family members. They pulled me aside said I had to buy another seat - I never knew about policy when I bought tickets via e-waves. I told them I was sitting with family and why should I pay for 2 seats if they didn't mind my fat hitting their bodies? They weren't going to give me my money back for the seat but they wanted double from me? Although the flight I was on was sold out so how was I getting a second seat? I thought this was very degrading and unfair. If you want to do a policy like this they should require your measurements - like suitcases. Then if you don't fit you would know not wait till you see the fat gal come along in line and tell her you want mo money!
