I really like the new boarding process. I fly at least 45 round trips every year on Southwest and have been for more than 7 years. I'm confused about how the boarding numbers are assigned. Someone at Southwest told me it was based on the number of round trips in one calendar year. Someone else told me it was based on the number of round trips per year plus how far in advance of your travel date you bought the ticket. A third person at Southwest told me it was both of those plus a magic algorithm. A 4th person told me it was based on the color of my grandmother's hair on her first birthday. Well, you get the idea. I but all my tickests as soon as the new schedules are posted and I buy them all the way through the end of the reservation period. Sometimes I get boarding number 16, sometimes I get 19, sometimes I get 24. Can someone give me an answer that I can understand? Thanks.
Hank
