Bert: thanks for the info on the "Memo". Fact of the matter, I as the customer shouldn't have to enforce the policy at boarding that WN put in place. Being A-List is a benefit, not to be getting the benefit is a problem. It is constant problem as it was friday DEN-ABQ, you had line jumping everywhere. Full flight and panic set in, I had A-17 and got to gate as the stampede was over walked to my position as GA started to board. It was a gaggle! Oh, I got seat OK but why the mess???
I am like the guy above who is switching to others, this deal could work if enforced. As a longtime customer and stockholder it seems that enforcement rewards the Biz traveler instead of making it a hassle. In the past 12 months I have accumlated 185 Rapid Reward Points, my wife won't even use here Comp. Pass any more due to the boarding process. Tie the A-list to the CP user!

Ok, here is a weekly Wn flyer's take. You wanted a few months to get everyone onboard, well its now Jan. 24. SWA is not here yet. Let's face it, you want business travelers. To do it you need the system you implemented, I am A-list due to 45 weeks of travel. I live in the New Mexico, so I am basically a SWA flyer.
The gate personal in the western States I fly still don't get it, boarding week after week is a gaggle at best. Yes, a few come forward and check sometimes the A-1 to 30 protecting the precious BS fare folks. But, wait where are they? I haven't seen enough BS fares to fill both hands yet. There is no enforcement! Due to that I have been switching my weeking travel biz to Express Jet, Frontier and United.
After all these years of standing in line for 45 minutes I embraced the announcement, but why not make it work? I suggest teaching numbers again to gate personal, can they count???

I'm not sure anybody cares @WN headquarters anymore about the boarding changes debate, but if you spend millions you better care. After 3 weeks of flights, the latest yesterday it requires a sound off. Both flights last week were a gaggle at the gate, Gate agents for SW are "spinless" and sleep in bathtubs due to their condition. On tuesday ABQ to PDX WN didn't have the poles up for the A, B,C boarding positions, it was line up any damn way you wanted. The return flight I had my usual A-16 (A-Lister) and My wife A-27 (Companion Pass), we had no BS fares in front of us and a A-31, A27, and A-32 ahead of me. I protested to GA and he said "I can't do everything" . The point is why bother, as I switch to Frontier and UA after years of flying WN maybe I just vote with my feet.

Reality vs. Expectations?
1. I am a Road warrior-travel most every week
2. I fly WN most of the time. 200 RR credits/year and NO WN credit card.
3. I "earn" lots of RR tickets and Companion passes/annually
4. I am in control of who I fly and when.
5. I spend my companies money like it was my own
6. I used to buy lots of "Ding Fares"
7. WN Gate Agents sleep in Bath Tubs-no spine!
8. New Boarding Process is a "Gaggle"
9. I am "A-lister"-A-16-20 most every flight.
10. Won't buy Business Select! Are you nuts!
11. Just booked 2 Frontier Flights and UA for December-Jan 08
12. You lost my luggage last week again for 48 hours-hell UA does it all the time so why not fly them!
13. Yes, Lucky 13, WN isn't cheaper any more!

Just checked my A-list boarding pass 36 hours prior to my flight........all I got was a Security document! No boarding pass, it says check in at airport! Way to go LUV!
I held the printed document up to my head and nothing, I don't know what my boarding group or number is. Oh I think I get it now, being a former loyal business traveler (almost weekly) and a fan of "Ding" (my fare for this weeks flight) I will more than likely get a B pass.
Most of my company fly United, I am the only hold out for WN, for years I have flown LUV from ABQ to my Western destinations. Companion pass for years, Rewards tickets for family and no problem using them. However change is good, I for one have never been consumed by fear of change. But, this is more than I can even take. I won't uses BS fares (Biz Select) I plan my trips in advance buy "Dings" and used to Love the freedom to change flights. As the years have gone by fares on LUV have not been the cheapest, was on frontier again last week. It has been a good run WN, but it is over now. I will attempt to sell my current Rapid rewards due to your devaluation and begin the United and Frontier Mileage game in "08. You see the problem is I bought "Dings" upto the end of the year and have booked Reward flights before you screwed up the Rapid Rewards seats. I play the game for awhile!

Having gotten my A-List e-mail yesterday I found the whole thing confusing and am wondering if any one told Herb K what you all have done?
Knowing full well that changes were forthcoming I am flying Frontier this week, I didn't want to be part of the gaggle of folks at the gates that can't read or count. Knowing the age of some of your Gate Agents also made me schedule other airlines during WN "changes". Some of them will undoubtly have reading and counting impairments also which have been documented on other blogs.
Question, being a A-list member and having a wife that travels with me on a Companion pass; how do I get her a A pass. Same as always or is she to be treated as you have to the poor families that travel on WN??? Also it states I need to print my boarding pass being an A-List member. Not posible on return due to be laptop hotel bound? Can I still print a bosarding pass at kiosk???
Signed,
Confused and traveling on other airlines
