It's less about size and more about those who discriminate. The employees need to be better educated about these so called rules. Because whether it's about size, color, religion, etc., Mark, the employee in TX may have common sense and therefore you get through but Susie, the employee in Idaho has no common sense and won't let you on no matter what.
The so called rule is wrong PERIOD (my opinion), but if you're going to have it...then teach your employees how to deal with it or continue to get publicity that you supposedly don't want.
You know, Southwest really doesn't care. They only say they are "sorry" when it becomes public. What about all those who have been and ARE being discriminated against who don't have twitter or are not famous, etc.? This happens more than you think, we just don't get to hear about it.
Those who don't have to fly Southwest shouldn't. Those who don't have a better option should continue to make their voices heard because they are not going to care until you do. Corny, I know, but it's fact.
