Kevin Smith is usually spot on about things, but the reality is none of us were there, so we can't say for sure what is or isn't the truth. In the end, the employee have a job to do and policies to follow, which they did. Smith as a customer has a right to complain if he feels slighted, which he did. And that's really all there is to be done about it.
