It's hard to get excited about the new changes when they fail to address two of the biggest concerns most passengers have - width of the seat, and leg room - not weight of the seat or materials of the seat! I read on Southwest.com that the current seats measure 17 inches across, which is laughable. (Doing something about that would be a real breakthrough.) Besides being a person of size, I am also handicapped and use a cane to get around. I would welcome a section where people like me wouldn't have to buy two seats in order to travel with more than a modicum of comfort.
