I am wondering how charging for WiFi is going to work. I would think it would cause more problems for SWA that it is worth. For example, is SWA going to be responsible for slow connectivity, especially on those short flights? Will it be worthwhile for the passenger on a short flight, since I imagine there will be that period upon taking off and landing that WiFi won't be available...you know, the time when "all electronic devices must be in the off position"? What about customers who are traveling more than one leg to reach their destination. Will they have to pay for each leg? Will they have to continually disconnect/connect for the multiple take-offs and landings? These are where the problems come in for SWA. It seems charging will just lead to complaints whether justified, or unjustified. On the other hand, it is not as common for people to complain about something that is free. If you are going to charge, I suggest charging separately and not including it in the ticket price. My usual destination is a short 40 minute flight (including take off and landing) and I doubt I will take the time to boot up for 15 minutes of internet use.
