Oh, sweet pickles, USS Blog Boy! When is your interview? I'm still undecided as to when I'll try again for FA (as well as CSA, RSA, & possibly Prov. Agent & at HDQ); it'll be a while, but when I do, I'll let you all know.

Thanks for another good post, USS Blog Boy! Those are good pictures once again! 🙂 It sounds like you had a busy, but fun, time in Singapore. We'll "see" you soon! Boy, speaking of sleep, I better get some! zzzzzz. :)
P.S. You can imagine me as your flight attendant, even though you're not yet on a Southwest flight. Of course, I know you don't know what I look like; I feel I better not post a detailed description of myself, just to be safe! I'll tell you, though, that I'm young (& I look younger than I am), skinny, & 5ft., 5 1/2 in. 🙂

Welcome back, Captain Ray! 🙂 Thanks for another great & informative post! Speaking of things quitting (no, I didn't quit my job!), I bought a new 2008 white Honda Civic LX, four doors, tonight! I've always LUVed Hondas! My car (well, really it's my parents because it's in their name) drives great, but it has 76,000+ miles on it & needs some mechanical work done; it's a 2001. I pick my very own car up tomorrow after work! 🙂 Anyway, to get back on topic, I learn from these posts! They're fun to read & very interesting & informative.

Is Liz Adams related to FA Carole? I was just wondering. 🙂
One reason why I want to work for the Company is that you all do a lot of good for the community! When I volunteered in Pediatrics at SFH, one of my main responsibilities was doing crafts with the patients! Well, they would do them & I would help if needed. It was fun! I've also helped with crafts during Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Anchorage! 🙂

Three years ago, I attended the Ordination service at my church for Annual Conference. I was walking up the stairs to the balcony when I saw a lady, from the back, who looked like someone I know (at church). I called her name a few times, but she never turned around. Someone else heard me & said it too, but still, the woman kept walking. When I got closer, I tapped her on the shoulder & said her name again. She turned around, & I realized it wasn't who I thought! I apologized & said I thought she was someone I knew. She never said anything & I had the feeling she might not have been too happy. That's not too embarrassing, but I did find it somewhat funny! 🙂

I thought about volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. There is one just a short distance down the street from one of our local hospitals. I volunteered at this hospital (St. Francis) for five years in two departments at a time. I volunteered in the Children's Hospital (at SFH) for five years, Outpatient Surgery Discharge for one year, Eastern Oklahoma Perinatal Center (EOPC) one summer as a substitute cuddler, & the Gift Shop for 10 months. When I volunteered in the Children's Hospital, some of the kids & teens I worked with died; when they did, I thought I wanted to quit. I didn't, though, because I knew I'd regret it if I did. As you can tell, I certainly enjoyed my volunteer work & found it very rewarding. I miss it a lot! Perhaps I could volunteer in Pediatrics again in the evening once a week.

To those who are saying they'll never fly SWA again & they'll tell others not to-I think that's rather ridiculous. Don't let this incident stop you from flying SWA. I honestly feel it's the best airline! Let's focus on the many good things the Company does for their Customers & the community. I LUV SWA! :)
"I have Southwest spirit, yes I do! I have Southwest spirit, how about you?"
Super service
On time
Unique
Terrific employees
Helpful
Wants, & willing to, provide Positively Outrageous Service (POS)
Energetic employees
Super fun airline
The best airline ever! 🙂

Hi, Jill. I'm so sorry you received the "dreaded" letter That seriously makes me want to cry. I know I did when I wasn't selected for training. 😞 *Sends hugs.* Waiting a year to try again is hard. You can apply at another airline for the same position at another airport, as well as your own; also, & I've done this, you can (if you want to) apply for another position with Southwest before the year is up. Just don't give up! Thanks for letting me (& Nicole) know, & please keep us updated!

How many boarding passes have you collected/scanned? How many steps have you walked? 🙂 Have you ever used the quadratic formula? Ha, ha! 🙂 x=negative b + or - the square root of b squared - 2ac over 2a. I can't type it out on the computer how it actually looks. The formula isn't as hard as it sounds. No, Math was not my major (or minor) in college, but I can't remember half of what I learned in College Algebra because I don't use it!
Thanks for another great post! SWA LUV to all, & to all a good flight!

I am going to post some of the things I LUV about Southwest:
Excellent service/employees
Great on-time performance
It's a fun airline (I have more fun flying SWA than I do any other airline!)
No assigned seating
Excellent safety record
The Company does a lot of altruistic work for others
Great fares
Casual uniforms
I LUV the theme painted planes
There are others, but I'll stop there for now. To the employees-keep your chins up! Everything will be okay! :)
I LUV SWA! 🙂
