It's not about the fat policy itself. Everyone wants to "own" the seat they purchased.
Your employees let him on the plane. Then your employees yanked him off the plane PUBLICLY HUMILIATING HIM and LIED to him as to the reason why. Customer service used to mean more than getting the politically correct 'do not use' words. Learn how to treat people with RESPECT and DIGNITY.
And frankly, if he "fit" in the seat by your own standards (arm rests down, etc.), I hope he sues you for discrimination.
