This is funny, but easier to deal with Herb Time then do all the calculations for Zulu Time.

There is nothing like an early morning flight with a great view of the sunrise over this great country and a good cup of coffee. LIFT up the cup and "CHEERS" to that.

It would be awesome to recycle the majority of the cups and cans onboard flights these days. Seems like so much waste that we can eliminate. Wonderful job!

That is too funny. What a way to have fun at work.
I used to collect baseball cards when I was young and still have them to this day.
Was wondering does anyone collect these autographed time schedules? How far back do they go?

The closest distance between two points is a straight line, that is a fact we learned in geometry 101. In aviation that is mostly true, regarding domestic flying in the States, but gets a little complicated when flying internationally on the great circle routes.
But flying in the States, why not have a system that allows planes to fly in a straight line? It would save fuel, time, and money. In return, keep the cost low for passengers and help with emissions.
Southwest leading the way to the future, it makes sense.

To hear some of your favorite bands jam out ,with the natural acoustics at Red Rocks, would be awesome.
Picture yourself in the cool of the evening, surrounded with friends and great music, and the sun is setting with those amazing colors only seen during twilight hours. Then you look up, seeing a Southwest Airplane blend into the evening sky with those same colors, and you remember how you got to Denver in the first place.
What a great partnership. It makes sense.

I was 12 years old, and on my first flight alone to visit my grandparents in Florida. At that age it can be a daunting task to travel the big blue skies by yourself. But being the tough warrior that I convinced myself to be, I hid the fear well.
Deep down, I was scared though, and remember the flight attendants and other passengers trying to help, but it is something that ultimately comes from the inside. Then it happened. Looking down on a cloud, there was a big rainbow surrounding the plane's shadow. I flew the rest of the way with confidence knowing that a protective rainbow was around our plane.
As a pilot by profession now, I know the science behind the rainbow phenomena and that it actually occurs more often then one might think. But as a scared boy traveling alone it was priceless protection.

My father passed away 3 years ago today from leukemia. We were visiting the Hospice house, and could tell his time was near. Outside to get a breath of fresh air, I saw the dark storm clouds out towards the west, and I knew the good Lord was coming to take him home. We all gathered around in his room, and as the stormed passed overhead, so did my father.
Father's Day, for me, is not a sad time though; it is a celebration of life. We get to honor our fathers today for the past, present, and future. Do not take for granted the time you have with loved ones.
