Thanks for the reply, but perhaps I wasn't specific enough. We have two Rapid Rewards accounts - one for myself, and one for my son. I fly semi-regularly...he does not. I have a Rapid Rewards credit card (which I use far too often!), so I gain points regularly. He hasn't flown in close to two years, and although we have a flight booked for June, I'm being informed that his points will expire in April because he hasn't flown for two years (by mid-April). He's approaching the age of 18, so in order to help him establish credit, I recently gave him his own Rapid Rewards credit card. I was wondering if his use of that card would enable him to maintain his status as an active Rapid Rewards member...or if it simply benefits me, as he is sinply using my card, with his name on it? Does that make sense? Thank you!

Question! My son's Rapid Rewards expire in April - unfortunately his next flight is not until June (it has been two years since his last Southwest flight). He is 17.
In order to help him begin establishing credit, I ordered a Southwest credit card in his name a short while ago and he has begun using it. Do his purchases enable him to avoid the expiration of his points in April in the same way that they would avoid the expiration for me, should I not fly Southwest for over two years?
