Agree with DancingDavidE -- it's likely the second flight boarding position will be a bit better. Check the boarding pass for your second flight just to make sure. I've usually had a better boarding position on 2nd leg flights so I see David's rationale.

Love it, at least the IAD/SLC options. Last year I was disappointed there was nothing that got me to SLC in the morning, which means I had to fly in the day before my event (and buy an extra hotel night). This year you're back to a morning arrival so I'm all set! Luv Southwest.

I was travelling with my adult niece. I asked SWA whether the first person could save a seat for the second (in case our boarding numbers were far apart) and was told yes, as long as I wasn't saving a bunch of seats. Other passengers didn't gripe, possibly because the seat I was saving was a middle seat. I personally see no problem saving 1 seat for a companion, but a bunch of seats? That's getting ridiculous.
