I was working a flight where I had a long standby list. Majority of the passengers were on a previous flight that had canceled. The other standbys were Alist and Alist preffered passengers that defaulted to the top of the list being frequent travelers. Because of that, not one passenger cleared from the onload list that was inconvienced from a canceled flight. Any feelings about this? Or any possible changes to prioritize passengers affected by irregular operations?

I was working a flight at the gate when approached by a skycap agent pushing a wheelchair passenger who requested an extra seat. We had plenty open seats and I successfully created the xtra seat pnr as a cos. I received a call shortly after by the ops agent boarding the flight who asked for an explanation of the cos seat. I explained she requested an xtra seat, and that I considered her cos. Later I thought that maybe she needed the xtra seat for a medical reason and assumed she was cos.. But I found it pretty bizarre to be challenged by the ops agent who insisted she was no where near a cos. Maybe its a matter of opinion if she is or isn't, but at what point should I be sizing up passengers and refusing the xtra seat? I also thought it odd to be questioned by the ops agent when the pax was in fact in a wheelchair and there were plenty open seats.. Any thoughts?

As a csa, say working the ticket counter, I am not sure that we encounter transactions where we rebook the same ticket at the sale price, and refund back the difference. I have only seen this happen when a passenger downgrades from a business to an "anytime" or "wanna get away" fare, but not a reissue for the same ticket type.
