Ronald McDonald House and RMCC has always been my favorite charity ever since I worked for McDonald's way back in the mid-90's. And now as a SWA employee, I feel very proud of all the good work that is voluntarily done especially for Ronald McDonald House. I wish I could have been there but thank you for sharing the pictures and the Red Belly Radio-cast; I need a box of Kleenex now~!!!

I just HAD to put my 2 cents worth into this blog.
When I'm working, I thank our customers EVERY DAY! Job security one more day. Thank you for 'shopping' Southwest Airlines. With every change that has come along, I tell our customers to please be patient with us as WE are learning it as well.
Change is inevitable; remember plastic boarding passes, string bag tags, dial telephones, 8-track tapes, our 13-year old son who now sounds like a 21-year old on the phone........the list AND life goes on.
The amazing thing about Southwest Airlines is that they DO listen to their customers, unlike other airlines, so if more changes need to be made, it will happen.
Isn't it wonderful, too, that we have the freedom to move about the country (on Southwest Airlines, of course) as well as express our opinions about anything and everything?!!! Thank you~!!!
OK, that was my dime's worth, can someone please make change?

Regarding the customer of size issue, as a SWA customer service agent we have been trained to discreetly ask questions
if we feel that a customer will not fit comfortably with the armrests down. But realizing that it is a sensitive issue, it is NOT an
easy task to begin asking those initial questions. That's where the lack of consistency comes from!
I have even had a customer tell me "yes, I can put the armrests down" and the boarding agent tell me later that "no, he could not".
To have an actual "seat for sizing" would be awful; pullleeeze, we do have compassion not to embarrass someone!
Annnd.......we LUV our business travelers! But we can spot them a mile away, no matter how they dress! I think it's that
"preoccupation of the last/next meeting" look.....LOL. Being in Florida, we also have a lot of vacationers, so our flights have
a mixed bag of nuts! (no offense intended) You know, I really think that chocolate-covered peanuts should be served on every
flight to make everyone happy.... : )))))) Make time to laugh & eat chocolate; it's as simple as that~!
