But they do already resitrict seating for pre-boarders. Pre-boarders cannot sit in exit rows. If they can say that then they can say they must sit in the back of the plane to be near available resources. This is not in violation of anything from Southwest's perspective because it is the flyer's choice to pre-board. No one is making them go early and they have a normal boarding assignment which they are granted all rights to them to choose any seat they wish.

My solution to this problem. All pre-boarders must sit in the rear of the plane, preferrably the last 5 rows. This is to better "serve" them. There are 2 bathrooms There are 2 attendants They will have extra time to deplane without disturbing other passengers. This is a HUGE problem that we commuters see on every flight. Southwest needs to take action or the A-listers are also going to start carrying canes and everyone will be a pre-boarder.

My solution. All pre-boarders must sit in the back of the plane, behind the exit rows, preferrably all the way back. They can get on first, but must exit last. They will have 2 bathrooms close, 2 attendants close, and still have their pick of seats.

Your pre-boarding was not refused. What you were refused is to board your whole family in front of people who have either paid or earned status to board first. Yesterday I was A5 and was the 21st person to board the plane due to the abuse of the pre-boarding process. Instead of pre-boarding being for those who really need assistance it has turned into what I call AARP boarding. Any elderly, overweight, or unscroupulous person can ask and not be denied to pre-board. Southwest is only doing what they can by limiting pre-boarders to have just one assistant. I am sorry others are ruining your flights due to their abuse of preboarding. Please make some noise with Southwest to reduce the abuse of pre-boarding so you can be better served and help all of us A-listers who are also getting frustrated.
