Southwest Launches T7

Not applicable

April 1 seems like a good time to introduce our latest innovation in our attempt to keep Southwest Airlines on the cutting edge of aviation technology.  Our own Mechanics have created the “next thing” in cargo accommodations, and we have a video that highlights their work.

I hope you enjoy the video and we just wanted to show everyone that we are no fools, this April 1st.

I never had a problem with baggage flying with Southwest Airlines...however, my last trip back to Long Island from West Palm Beach on March 3rd., left me stunned when i picked up my baggage...i had two brand new matching pieces of luggage that was given to me as a Christmas gift from my children, in my favorite color, lavender/purple, and to my dismay, one of them was severely damaged...big black streaks across the sides and some of the leather torn off..with big gouges. i was so upset and disappointed that my luggage was so battered, i went home so tired and depressed. Southwest, i love your service, your crew, your easy way to fly, but please be more careful of people's baggage, as it is a personal item, not to be thrown around and damaged. thank you.

Maria, I am so sorry for the trouble with your baggage. You didn't mention if you reported the damage to our Baggage Service Office In Long Island upon your arrival because they work with our Customers on issues like this. It's important to report the damage upon arrival, however. Again, I am so sorry that we disappointed you. Brian

I think I want my luggage on return trips to fly in the T-7. I usually have a lot of dirty clothes by that time anyway, and this will keep things nice and aired out. That last suitcase was kinda rank by the time it got home - the T-7 could have really improved on that one!
