Two days ago I was flying from Europe to an east-coast gateway, then flying Southwest the rest of the way home. In trying to check in for my Southwest flight, I went to the Southwest website and got this message. This happened in every city I tried it.

Did some digging and this appears to be an ongoing issue with people outside of the United States. Some people had luck accessing https://mobile.southwest.com/ or using the Southwest app on a phone.

Yes, unfortunately Southwest blocks website access to many outside the US. 😞
They say that it's an "issue they are working on," but it's been this way for well over a year now, and even the most inept IT department should be able to fix something within that timeframe.
As you mentioned, you may be able to access through the app, or using a proxy server online (Google for more info).
