Well it just galls me that SWA/Chase offers me a measly 5000 points to upgrade my existing SWA credit card. But it offers 85,000 points to new applicants. Just sounding off.
So if the last time you got a points signup bonus on your existing card was more than 24 months ago, cancel the existing card and get the new one with 85,000 points.
Alternatively I may have my husband apply (its been longer than 24 mos since he had a card and i'm not sure he got a bonus for it), I'll become an authorized user on it, and i'll use his RR points for flights.
