If you change flghts, you get a new boarding spot, whatever it may be, when you check in

If A56 on that new flight had also just changed their flight, it could be given to you if the timing was perfect as the spots are re-used. 

 

But the more likely outcome is a much later boarding position.

 

If you are A-list though then you can board at "A61" position between A and B groups even if you have a B or C position. (And it says A-list on your boarding pass)
