My flight was canceled by SW on Dec 25 after I boarded the flight. I didn’t rebook because the website showed there were no flights available for 5 days.
I originally purchased the ticket using a credit card. Two days later the fare went down and I “changed” my flight to the same flight to receive a credit for the difference as a travel fund. The reservation number stayed the same, however the ticket number changed.
I understand that I am eligible for a refund to the original form of payment. Will the refund be paid to my credit card? I’m not sure how or if the flight change will affect this.

The ONLY time refunds are not made to the original form of payment is gift cards. There apparently is no way to add money to an existing card.
