cancelled flight stl to nashville

My husbands flight was cancelled from MCI (Kansas City) to BNA (Nashville) at 4 AM.  Flight number 4264 arriving in Nashville at 12:30 PM.  We can't get a one way rental car and his flight was rebooked for tomorrow AM with SW.  I'm pregnant and tired after working a full week at the hospital while he was out on business with little ones at home.  He needs to get home.  He's getting a ride to STL.  Any suggestions?  Would SW assist in booking a rental car so he can get home fastest?

At this moment  there are two MCI / BNA flights with available seats today. 2:55 and  :4:25 departures.

Since Southwest cancelled the flight, he is entitled t make a no cost change to either of them

He should log on to southwest.com ad grab one of them
