Hello, my name is Anthony, I apply for this job R-2023-31893 and my application was instantly rejected, when I exceed the qualification put for. Secondly why are you making it a requirement that I tell you my Sex and Race  instead of being able to decline to answer, is there are reason that I am being force to answer those question or are you using the question to hire only certain people?

Your "auto reject" likely had nothing to do with your background and certainly had nothing to do with your disability. It is likely due to you answering questions like this incorrectly (there may be more):

a) Are you willing to attend training in (insert location here)

b) Are you willing to attend X weeks of training

c) Are you legally entitled to work in the US

d) Some jobs require that you be an existing resident of a state. Are you

The federal government requires companies to devise Affirmative Action Plans. Getting that data is part of that process.

the job was posted for Dallas so i am assuming it would be in Dallas which i am local

b) Are you willing to attend X weeks of training

not sure if there is  due to you have to be skilled in the field to be able to do the job but that should be an issue

c) Are you legally entitled to work in the US

answer yes to this question and the one after it if i would be legally entitled to work by the time if hired

d) Some jobs require that you be an existing resident of a state. Are you

if the job was posted for Dallas and me being in McKinney should be an issue right?

I have never applied for a job at SW, so I do not know all the questions that are asked.

What I do know is this topic comes up a lot, and answers to questions like these are the ones that lead to auto rejects.

Solution

Hi, @tonywazzhere. Thanks so much for reaching out!

I'm glad to offer some clarity and insight here. In reviewing your application to the Desktop Support Specialist (R-2023-31893), your application was removed from the process based on your answer to the question, "Do you have Entry-level experience; developing skills and knowledge in PC system and repair?" Since you answered "no," to this question, your application did not meet the minimum requirements for the role and was removed from the process. I'm so sorry for any confusion or disappointment there.
