Did you do these transactions online or via a phone rep?

 

When you cancel a flight online, if it's refundable (BS, AT, Senior, Child or Military fares that have had no changes to the itinerary, or any fare within 24 hours of booking) there's a box that asks you if you'd like a refund to the original form of purchase or travel funds good towards future travel. It's important that you read this info and select the correct option.
