WOW!!
The assigned seating post has been dethroned!
It is amazingly ridiculous that a post about whether Miss Ebbert has the right to flash her gross anatomy to all within eyeshot (a complete non-issue, the irrational indignation of most responders notwithstanding) has generated more responses than something that is actually material to the operation of and Customer experience on Southwest.

Gang,
If we keep it up, we can break the comment record set by the assigned seating post!
Come on, ya'll! We need only just over a hundred more of these foaming-at-the-mouth, ill-informed posts sprinkled with liberal doses of "Taliban," "burqa," "Chrstianist," and "Nazi."
Go, crazies, go!

Either I'm the first one with this brilliant idea, or other such suggestions aren't being posted, so here goes...

As was made obvious by the Today show censoring the replay of Miss Ebbert's interview, what she wore was inappropriate because of what it *didn't* cover. That point is apparently lost on many of the folks this incident has brought out of the woodwork.
Kudos to Keith.

Robert,
I assume your medications are pills. You shouldn't need to keep them in the original bottles.
If you have liquid or gel medications, those should be kept in the original, prescription-labeled container, separate from your "3-1-1" liquids bag, and declared to the TSA at the security checkpoint. More information is available here:

That cake ought to be preserved somehow and put on display at HDQ. It's too neat to eat.

Happy Birthday! Don't get cake on your keyboard. Candy corn is OK, though, as it is easier to clean up.

TSA bag locks are a waste of money. There is no guarantee that the TSA will reapply the lock, and the lock might end up being ripped off by the belt system.
I prefer plastic zip ties as I want to know only whether my bag has been opened by *anyone*.

Paula Berg is...
...blessed with her own page'o'quotes at thinkexist.com (http://thinkexist.com/quotes/paula_berg/). What's next? A Wikipedia entry? A fan site? (paulaberg.com is already taken -- we might need "Malice in Dallas II" with the similarly-named Boston attorney to settle that issue) Inclusion into Bartlett's Familiar Quotations? 😄

My favorite questions for Reservations are, "Do you have Prince Albert in a can?" and, "Is your refrigerator running?"
Seriously, though... Southwest's Reservations system and staff are top notch. No phone trees, Employees who aren't holed up in Bangalore, and Customers are not charged a fee to purchase a reservation over the phone.

As a Customer and a fan, I love finding Employees with less-than-ZIP-code Employee numbers (Hi Carole!). I don't mean to make them sound like senior citizens, but I enjoy hearing their Southwest stories.

Now that you mention it Brian, the Air Southwest livery looks disturbingly like the current US Airways livery (navy belly and lettering, red cheat line, etc.), so I will agree that is hideous. 😄

Here's an idea: if N271LV has not already been repainted to the current Southwest livery, perhaps it can be painted like the proposed Air Southwest livery! Kind of like the US Airways heritage planes...

Another thought:
Many people have long been frustrated by the scheduling practices, but it took the responses to Bill's January 24 post to show the depth of that frustration.
These changes show how seriously Southwest takes this blog and its Customer participants, and further proves that this blog is not simply an avenue for corporate self-promotion.

How often are ill passengers denied boarding? Aside from what we've seen on Airline, I know of only one incident. A young lady was vomiting at the gate and was told by the gate agent that should could not fly that evening.

Nice way to start the morning (for me), and a pleasant way to wait out a delay (for the passengers). Can you imagine an employee for any other airline going out on a limb like this? I certainly can't!
