Hilarious how these clowns want to point to an assessment of their operations made by a 3rd party they PAY to write up a report loaded with fabrication. I too have been forced to fly Southworst and have also made the mistake of THINKING they were the best option. Bad Bad mistake. Out of 8 flights I took this year all but 2 were either canceled or over 2 hrs late. They're a JOKE

This is just pure insanity. Enough with the comfort animals. Many of us have allergies and there is NO consideration for this. I have a friend who for some reason is petrified of animals. I don't pretend to understand why but this is getting out of control. Put the animals in the cargo hold where they belong. I am in the terminal right now and you have two dogs barking up a storm. REALLY. The plane has turned into a friggin zoo. We are here to travel and fly, not have someone's animals be part of the flying experience. Am I the only one who feels this way or is everyone afraid to say what we all know is true.

Hello! I'm not an "alarmist". I came to write that Southwest Airlines really should be offering for its more reality-based consumers, who care about the future of biological life on earth, some simple links to buy carbon offsets, to offset the massive amounts of global warming pollution emitted by jet planes every day on every flight. Global warming is a true theory. There's another scientific theory that explains how a certain shape of wing, moved through the air a certain way, will generate lift and cause the wing to be lifted upwards to the sky. That is a true story too. See how nice it is to have some scientific stories that are true? Here are articles I read recently that convinced me I want to be buying some carbon offsets to offset my next flight. I was trying to figure out, if I am really conerned about this issue, should I not fly at all? Is it better to drive a car? Is it worth it to take a train or carpool or take a bus? How much better is Megabus than Greyhound? One of the articles said, if I spend about $9.90 and donate it to a wind farm, that would be enough to offset the carbon for the flight. So much easier than the other ways to get around it! It would still be even better to avoid flying, and spend even more on carbon offsets. https://www.yaleclimateconnections.org/2019/02/i-feel-guilty-about-flying-help/ https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/27/climate/airplane-pollution-global-warming.html Here's an overview of the scientific knowledge that humanity has gained on the subject. The vast majority of this was learned in the past 5 centuries or so, although some of the philosophers from ancient Greece and the ancient Romans knew some of this before the time of Christ : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming. If you want to see a false scientific theory, the flat earth society is an excellent example of that.

I was recently on a return Flight flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta, Flight 2055. I had left my ipad on the flight, flight attendant Robin, located the ipad, & called me to let me know! I was of course, already home, so she took it to the front desk of Southwest, where I was able to retrieve it the very nexy day. She was so polite on the phone, & I was so grateful to her for finding my ipad. It could of ended up, who knows where! That is customer service, she took the time to call me several times, & then walk my ipad to the front of the airport. She is an exceptal person for her efforts, I will always remember my experience with her. She deserves recogniztion for her efforts. Robin, thank you very much!!!

What to do with my daughter's wedding gown that we are bringing to Arizona?? The agent on the phone told me there are no closets to hang it in. I do not want to buy an extra seat for it:( I do not relish the thought of cramming it into the overhead bins. I DO want to bring it onboard and not send it in a box underneath the plane. ANY IDEAS ARE APPRECIATED!!

Southwest Airlines is admired around the world for its commitment to brand and culture as well as the customer service approach that has set the company apart from other airlines. In this episode of Brands That Travel, we will be interviewing Teresa Laraba, Senior Vice President Customer Service, to learn more about the strategy behind Southwest's success and how customer service is evolving in the travel marketplace. Ms. Laraba oversees the airline's customer support and services, customer relations, customer service agents and central baggage services, and with over 20 years of industry experience, she knows that the best advice for colleagues is to "slow down and listen - the person in front of you deserves your time". to read more, visit: http://www.brandsthattravel.com/

I saw "Boston" and "Minneapolis" and got excited; can you ever have service BETWEEN Boston and Minneapolis? I know they are small cities for you, but because Sun Country only comes a couple of times per week usually Delta is the only option for nonstop service between BOS and MSP and they are way too expensive so I end up making inconvenient connections.
Also, while Phoenix is great, you already have that flight from Providence and I hope you don't get rid of it because PVD has seen lot's of cutbacks already.

Terry Maxon/Reporter Southwest Airlines has decorated its airplanes with images like whales and (briefly, not pun intended) swimsuit models, yes, but it also has six airplanes that recognize the states in which it flies. By Tom Belden Southwest Airlines chairman Gary Kelly tried to flatter me last week during the company's quarterly conference call with analysts and the media by saying it was my idea for the carrier to start nonstop flights between Philadelphia and Boston. I'm happy to take credit for such a logical and lucrative extension of the airline's route network. But Kelly was joking (I hope) because the credit really goes to you, the customer, for pleading with Southwest for relief from the high fares that other airlines were charging on the Philadelphia-Boston route. All I did was hound Southwest officials for nearly a year, asking when it would enter a market we all knew it would someday. to read more, visit: http://www.philly.com/inquirer/business/20100426_Winging_It__Airlines_react_to_global_pressures.html

Saw "Florida One" yesterday here in NYC at LaGuardia; it was awesome but it was a cloudy day. I hope she returns. I was only able to see 1 side but not the other. Is the opposite side exactly the same? When will SouthWest paint a plane to honor New York? I wish they would release a list of dates when she will come as it takes me over 2 hours to get from my house to the airport.

While overall performance of the company has improved significantly since the retraction of the expansion plans, it appears that some due diligence is required to examine the fuel hedges in place. Clearly prior performance was driven in some part by the savings of the fuel hedges, however that is because the crude oil price rose so dramitically from substantially lower levels. The offset to the fuel hedge contract appears to be generating losses. If these losses continue due to a reasonably stable oil value then hopefully these costs have been considered into the operating budget numbers for the remainder of 2010.
