Seems like that should be available but it ends 10 days prior. EDIT - they will open up next section of flights on 12 March according to a phone rep. Those will go through Oct.

Previous comment makes no sense. I am a 34 year veteran. I traveled on SW on orders all the time. Check in 24 hours prior, you are set. I did not look for extra favors. If I had to change a flight, SW phone rep always asked if I was military and I got a break. "Verifying" someone as military is meaningless. You board according to your number. I would urge people that think that airlines "owe them" something because they wear a uniform to get over themselves. We serve our country, not the other way around.

There is a note on the website about a possible delay. Although my points were posted from Dec, it took awhile for my status to show correctly. It eventually did.

If you board in A group, just go towards the back of the aircraft. There will be plenty of seats (and bin space) for everyone there, regardless of boarding order.

I am retired military. I did not expect special treatment nor did I accept it. I appreciate that SWA has military discounts for active duty when calling to make reservations, especially when they are short-notice. If you are travelling on the government dime you do not rate special perks. We serve this nation - just sign up 24 hours prior and you will get your nice seat. You get to keep your miles even though you did not pay for the ticket. I am disappointed that some here feel that they should board prior to families with small children or anyone else.

I have flights coming up and I do not want to go through the hassle of "requesting" points I should have been given. Just seems that adding up points and updating status should be automatic and transparent.

I left a customer feedback request on the website. I did get a voice mail from them. They said they would "call right back with a solution." That was two days ago. My status is still incorrect.

I think, if you fly in that CY, the points should count for that CY right? Otherwise you are at the mercy of when SWA decides to post your points.

There is a note on the website which I confirmed with customer service. Although I got enough points last year to get to ALP again, the status will not show up for at least another week and I do not get the benefits until then. Although the helpful rep said to "send a note" if I fly prior to that, I am just curious why it takes so long for SWA to determine my 2019 status? They said it may be done by "mid January".

This would be great. It seems crazy that companions board so far behind their sponsors. I will never be a seat-saver, so it makes for some worrisome moments hoping that your companion gets a seat nearby.

I have no problem with pre-boarders. I do not understand people with dogs. Last flight there were three people with dogs - none of them trainined in any way as support dogs - they were barking at each other! Not sure how that makes sense.
