Hey, I hope you had a great interview today. Can’t wait to hear how it went. Such and exciting process. I had my interview today as well. I am curious as to when they plan on starting the classes. In the mean time I’ll keep up with doing the character building during this process. Best of Luck!! Have a LUVLY night!!! Christy.

That is so amazing. I am so glad you had the opportunity to do an interview with the recruiter. I have heard several who have received an email if they were not moving on to the F2F interivew. I beleive that you will hear from them by phone and email for the F2F. They will need to set up and interview time for that. So excited for you. I wish you the best of luck. Many prayers for you to move on!! Have A LUVly, Christy

Thank you for your interest in working for Southwest. I do know that they opened the Flight Attendant position on 2/5/2018 and closed it on 02/09/2018. There was such an overwhelming amount of applications submitted at that time that they do not have a futrure date in mind as too when they will open the position back up. You should make a profile and subscribe to the career forum where you can get updates on job openings. It allows you to uplpoad your resume to it. I hope this answers any questions you may have had. Have a LUVly, Day, Christy

Updating your resume wil not affect your chances. I know this because I updated mine as well while I was still sitting at "received submission" and I received a call for a phone interview. So no worries!! Hope that this helps you. You're clear for take off!! That may or may not be a little corny. LOL Have a LUVly Day, Christy

@lisie0808, Good Morning, I know that I will not have the answer that you are looking for but I have read several post asking the same question and it literally is just a hurry up and wait thing, or aka Character building. The response that fits best for this situation is that due to the large amount of applications that came through there is no way for them to keep us updated. All we can do is keep checking our profile and watching our application status. I am just like you, I had my application in on the 5th at around 11 something and still haven't heard anything. I have heard people that put theirs in days later have already received an email for a phone interview but I do remain hopeful and trust in God's plan for me. Good Luck I truly wish you the best. I know they are making progress. Hang in there! Warrior Spirit, Servant's Heart, Fun LUVing Attitude and ready, Have a LUVly day, Christy

I wish I could help you on this matter. I too have been trying to update my resume and it will not let me! I've tried copying and paste and every other avenue I can think of and nothing. I'm pretty much a sitting duck! Quack Quack! Sorry I hope someone out there in the community can offer some insight! Have a LUVly day, Christy

So thrilled to hear you are interested in becoming a Flight Attendant with Southwest! Due to the overwhelming response that they received with the latest posting they do not have a future date at this time however, you can sign up to receive job alerts via email go to workforus.us/southwest. You can set your career preferences and you will get an email everytime a position becomes available. I hope this helps you. Good luck in the future Have a LUVly day, Christy

There is no outside training or certifications. Southwest has their own school they will put you through. I would suggest learning and familiarize yourself with the core values, vision, and mission of Southwest. Brush up on your customer service skills and first aid knowledge. Make you sign up for job alerts as well so you will get an email when they open the FA position again. I hope this helps. Have a LUVly night ! Christy.

Yes you will. You are only making it where you are not getting emails about jobs that posted or specials. That is completely different than the email for a job interview. I hope that this helps. I wish the best of luck. Stay positive and hopeful. Have a LUVly day, Christy

@sheppard747 Good evening, I wanted to let you know that from here it is a hurry up and wait game. The best advice I have for you as someone who is still waiting for a call for an interview is it can be weeks, months and possibly up to a year. While I’m hoping it’s not that long I’m still hopeful. I have made myself familiar with the core values, mission and vision of Southwest Airlines. Other than prepping yourself to wow the socks off the recruiters when you finally get that phone call there’s not really much else to do. Me and a few others call this time character building. Best of luck!!! Good luck! Hope meet you at a FA class some day. Have a LUVly night, Christy Plagge

Don’t worry. They will call and leave a message and then reach out via email if they are unable to reach you through phone call. I’ve heard that several said it could be weeks to months and maybe up to a year due to the large amount of applications that were submitted. Good luck. Hope to meet you on the other side. Lol. Stay positive. Have a LUVly day.

@ckbillie, I thought I would offer some tips for when the interview does happen. Most importantly make sure you understand the core values, mission and vision of Southwest Airlines and the department you are hoping to be working for. I think that it is important to ask questions about the position that you are applying for and the department such as where do you hope to this postion 90 days or 6months down the road?, what do you think will be my biggest challenage will be in this postion, what kind of extra training do you offer, etc. Also make sure you're not chewing gum or have gum in your mouth at the time of interview, keep your phone out of sight while waiting to be called in for your interview and during your interview I have found it very unprofessional. I would recommend wearing nice slacks and a nice shirt, business casual has always been my go to along with soft make-up, simple jewelry, and neutral lip shade. Sit up straight and remember that you are the best person for the job and let your confidence shine. One more thing, make sure you take your DL, SS and your resume along with a pen, you never know if they are going to need you to sign something or need your goverment issued documents because they want to hire you on the spot. I hope this helps! Good Luck!! Youve Got This!!! Have a LUVly day, Christy

@AshleyMainz & @KelbyTansey Today while doing my normal stroll through all the community post checking to see if anyone had posted anything about getting an interview I came upon one post in the Community Outreach board and let me just say, ladies I sincerely feel for you. The post that you have to read and things that you have to go through can make for a hard days work. Kelby and the rest of the team going through 100's of 1000's upon 1000s of applications and having to stop and probably answer phone call after phone call about where someone stands in the interview process then having to respond to post after post can make for a very long hard day. Then on top of all of that you have Ashley who is having to respond to post about the NRA and people not being very respectful about things. Can sometimes take its toll on an employee. I have a management/leadership background and one thing that I always made sue Idid was built my staff up and motivate thenm daily. I always wanted to make sure they knew how variable they were to the company and Im sure you hear this often because Southwest leadership is pretty amazing but WOW thank you for doing such an amazing job. This isn't just for Ashley and Kelby they are the main names that I know by heart thats why I called them out. But Seriously thank you! You are all doing an amazing job. I hope that one day I will be able to tell you all face to face but this will have to do for now! THANK YOU! for always responding with a Fun LUVing Attitude, Warrior Spirit and having a Servants Heart to do what you do every day! @sholoday. I do not work for Southwest yet. (Staying hopeful) but I did read somewhere that with the extremely high amount of application litany’s that it could take weeks, even months. All we can do is wait with hope. As Keith a fellow applicant calls it is character building. Lol. Good luck! Fun LUVing Attitdue. Warrior spirit, servants heart. Christy.

Hey @KeithPitman Sorry I’m just now getting back to you. I never saw your message. I’m so sorry. It is exciting when you see an email with Southwest header even if it’s about a special. It makes you get nervous with excitement to open it in hopes of it being related to a possible interview. The XO Conference was amazing. Anytime you can bring couples together to build their Marriages up with God as the main speaker is amazing. I am the admin assistant so it was my job to make sure everything was going smoothly and set up, I didn’t get to watch much but I had the login and password and was able to go back and watch it. Faith can move mountains. I hope you have a blessed weekend. Staying hopeful with you! LUVing life, warrior spirit, servants heart Christy

So I think I’ve checked my email like a thousand times a day since submitting my application. I have two different things that come to mind immediately when thinking about this job. One is a song. The other is a movie. Song-Michael Bublé “Come fly with me, let’s fly, let’s fly away”, and the movie is “View from the Top” with Gwyneth Paltrow. I love that movie. Ok that was my random thought for the day. Graving a question and answer moment. But it’s pretty quiet now a days. At least I have been getting to visit with one of my favorite flight attendants. Holli Carloni-Brown. Love that women. We get to help bring the younger generation closer to God together on Wednesday nights. Hvae great evening. Warriorspirit, servants heart, fun LUVing attitude. When you are on the career page before logging in, in the middle of your screen you should see several different categories one should be inflight. Select inflight it will redirect you to another screen. Log on there and the you will be able to see where you applied and that status of your application. Hope this helps! Good luck. #warriorspirit Christy.
