Did you know that we have a chat feature within our mobile app? That’s right folks! We are taking Hospitality up a notch and giving Rapid Rewards Members another method to contact us. You just have to be logged into the Southwest mobile app. We can help you with anything that you would typically call us for. The only exceptions are anything that requires us to collect form of payment and certain travel concerns. You can head over to our Contact Us page for assistance with those inquiries. Otherwise, have a question about our baggage policies? Need help with rebooking after a flight delay? Want clarification about how to get wheelchair assistance at the airport? We’re just a chat away! FAQs Is there a certain version of the Southwest App that you need downloaded? You must have app version 6.1.0 or 6.1+ to run Live Chat. When is Live Chat available? Live Chat is available between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. You can also speak to a Customer Representative 24/7 by calling 1-800-435-9792. Is Live Chat available for Spanish speaking Customers? Unfortunately, not at this time. For Spanish support, please call our Bilingual line at 1-800-826-6667. Can I access Mobile Live Chat while mid-flight? Yes! Mobile Live Chat is available on all WiFi-enabled aircrafts. Similar to how you can access the Southwest mobile app while mid-flight, you do not need to purchase the onboard WiFi to chat—you simply need to connect to the Southwest WiFi from your mobile device and open the Southwest mobile app. To Use Live Chat on iOS 1. Log into your Rapid Rewards account within the Southwest mobile app 2. Open the hamburger menu from the top left-hand corner and scroll down to “Contact Us” 3. After you’ve selected “Chat” from the menu, you’ll be prompted to select why you’re reaching out 4. You’ll then be directed to a window that will let you know your place in line if an Agent is available 5. Your chat will automatically start when it’s your turn 6. Dreaming of a vacation and found a contest that’s giving one away for free? Before sharing or filling out your personal information in hopes of winning a getaway, check out these pointers to double check that the promotion or contest is actually affiliated with Southwest Airlines and not fraudulent.
1. We’ll highlight the promotion or contest on our official website
For official promotions or contests, we’ll advertise it on Southwest.com. It will typically be a sub-page of our website, but Southwest.com will always be listed at the front of the URL.
2. The promotion or contest may be offered through our friends at Southwest Vacations
Our Partners at Southwest Vacations will occasionally offer different promotions or contests of their own and will advertise it on Southwestvacations.com. Just like with our website, the contest will typically be a sub-page of the main Southwest Vacations website.
3. We’ll advertise the promotion or contest on our official social media channels
We want to share the fun with all of our followers on social media, so we’ll typically post about promotions or contests there too. You’ll be able to tell if the social media page is owned by us because we’ll have a little blue check mark next to our name, which confirms that we’re verified.

If we’re trying to get the word out about a big promotion or contest, we’ll periodically write an article about it here to alert our loyal Community Members!

If our Members are enrolled in the Southwest In A Nutshell emails, we may notify you of a promotion or a contest here as well. To confirm if you are subscribed, log into your account on Southwest.com and navigate to the Communication section under “My Preferences”. You’ll be able to subscribe there if you aren’t already.

Ever gotten an error like this?
Because of the limited amount of flights we offer from certain cities and due to minimum connection times, occasionally there will be certain days that no scheduled service between two city pairs is offered. To help you find the days that we offer service, be sure to check out our Low Fare Calendar.
If you’re still not finding a route that works for you, you’re always welcome to book a point-to-point reservation. You can do it online here by selecting the “Multi-city” option and entering your departure city in the “Depart” field, your connection city in the “Destination 1” field, and your final destination in the “Destination 2” field. Of course, if you’re having trouble booking your reservation, we’re always here to help. Just give us a call at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA.
Keep in mind that if you decide to book a point-to-point reservation and want to check a bag, you’ll have to collect your luggage in your connection city and check it again to your final destination.

I’m an A-List Member. Can my family go through the Fly By Lanes and board in my boarding group with me?
Answer
We truly love and appreciate all of our A-List and A-List Preferred Members. Two of the many ways we show that love is through our Fly By Check-In and Security Lanes and automatic check-in at the 36 hour mark. In order to maintain the integrity of these benefits and our boarding process, only Tier Members and Business Select Customers can access the Fly By Lanes, and we ask that each Customer board in their respective boarding positions. If an A-List Member wishes to go through the airport and board with their loved ones, they’ll have to use the regular check-in and security lines and also board in the latter boarding position.

If free flights for a year wasn’t already a great perk, Companion Pass Holders also have the option to change their designated Companion up to three times each calendar year that they maintain Companion Pass status. Want to go to Chicago with your best friend in May and then Phoenix with your brother in June? No problem! We can help you change your designated Companion if you call us at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA, tweet us at @southwestair, or send us a message on Facebook. Just keep in mind that if you have an upcoming reservation for your current Companion, you will need to either wait until after their travel is completed or cancel the reservation.

You can verify if you have EarlyBird listed on your reservation a couple of different ways.
1. After you purchase EarlyBird, we’ll send you a receipt confirming that you’re all set.
2. You can pull up your reservation on our website. Once you have it pulled up, you will see a sunrise icon under the “Extras” column.
3. If you decide to print your boarding pass, it will have a note on the bottom right hand corner indicating that EarlyBird is present.
4. Of course, we’re always here to double check for you as well. Just give us a call at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA!
Note: EarlyBird guarantees automatic check-in 36 hours prior to departure, not a specific boarding position.
