To help eliminate the “scammers” faking a disability to pre board and use a wheelchair, these passengers should be required to use a wheelchair when flight lands. I have a physical disability and am a person requiring a wheelchair. What makes me upset is to be amongst 15-20 people preboarding with a wheelchair but when it’s time for getting off plane, only 2 or  3 passengers require a wheelchair. Suggestion if u fall short, consider purchasing gift cards to places you know you will frequent in the next few weeks. This is my strategy, grocery store, gas station, home improvement, drug stores all have gift cards. U know u will be spending money at these places and gift cards allow you to extend the time to reach 3k total. Of course, spend within your means as not to be charged late fees or interest. I fly approximately once a month with my mobility scooter. I have had damage to my scooter, ALWAYS check your scooter over before you leave the airport and file a complaint if damage has occurred. Southwest works with a world wide repair company , Global. I have always received excellent service, twice given me a replacement scooter on my vacation, once even provided a brand new replacement. This post is not to scare you but make you aware damage does occur and be prepared. On the other hand, the last six flights I have taken, there’s been no damage. Once I was presented my mobility scooter front wheel separate from the unit as I deplaned. The pilot witnessed, went back to retrieve his tools and attached the wheel! Currently at gate flying from LAS to BUF, sitting in handicapped section since my wife is disabled. Lady next to me just got out of her wheelchair, announced she was going shopping, now she returns with two bags. This most definitely is a prime example of someone abusing the system.  ... View more

I have registered but perhaps u can help me with this. Few days ago I was given 90 action reward points bonus. This does not make sense for the 25% offer when I spent approximately $8000 in that time period. Perhaps I am wrong to think this action reward bonus just given is from the credit card but I can not get an answer from Southwest. Thanks ... View more
