Check out the shopping and dining sites attached to Rapid Reward points, look under the earn points category. U can easily accumulate more points towards companion pass by simply shopping at your favorite stores or dining at favorite places. There are incentive bonuses to sign up. These points are on top of credit card points but be careful it may take 6-8 weeks to post. As someone mentioned consider a mini getaway using Southwest hotels but select the locations with bonus points. These points almost post immediately. Good Luck

most likely in the same manner as all other airlines. You can blame the 'miracle flight' abusers (need wheelchair to get on first to get a good seat), then magically healed in air and no longer in need of a wheelchair to deplane.

The changes don't go into effect until next year. I'd just be patient and see what information comes out in September at the investor's meeting or by year end. I could be 100% wrong (wouldn't be the first time - haha), however, I'm sure they are aware of the "perks" they offer on the credit card (such as upgraded boarding) and have already considered what that could be replaced with under the new operating structure.
Note: Chase will flag your account as an account that received a credit and be less apt to assist in the future if you have an actual problem, because they can see you already received the credit (they won't care the "why"). So I'd use it sparingly.

Unfortunately, two months ago departing LAS I spoke to the gate agents and explained I need a front row seat. I recently had surgery and am in a full locked leg brace which I have no movement at my knee. I also use a mobility scooter. When it was time to board, 8 wheelchair users stood up from their wheelchairs and rushed down the jet way, while I was stuck behind them. The agent announced “ those in wheelchairs who can get themselves down the jet way, go ahead” . Unfortunately that put me in a position not having a front row seat and I safely boarding with my leg. So in a”perfect”world the disabled are often ignored. By the way the majority of these original 8 wheelchair users did not wait for a wheelchair to deplane. We all know that’s another topic.

Sorry to hear that.
It sounds about as bad as having to deal with the IRS.

I don’t think SWA has any control over the factory that makes the cookies. However, honey would be a fantastic addition.

The promotions just randomly show up in your Rapid Rewards Southwest.com "My Account" page. You then have to register for them to be effective.

I had the same promotion. These bonus offers always take about 8 weeks to post. I would not anticipate getting the bonus points until the until the end of June.

I've seen this abused many, many times. SWA has allowed this to matastasize over the years and now it's common. SWA can stop this but it's easier to turn their heads and act like it's not going on. They don't have the will to fix the matter.
I have no problem with a person that is wheel chair bound boarding first. But why are they allowed the premium seats that people have paid extra for? Why can't they sit in the middle or even the rear of the plane?
What if you had a simple fee of $5 (nominal at best) to preboard? The abuse would not stop but the filthy person who abuses the system might not come up with the five bucks. I believe it would marketedly reduce the abuse.

Looking into a meal preparation kit, for example Hello Fresh or Blue Apron through Southwest shopping. Currently there are good incentives to sign up. Any idea if I try the kit/program and find it does not work or make sense for my family, do I loose the incentive rapid rewards points? Thanks

I fly approximately once a month with my mobility scooter. I have had damage to my scooter, ALWAYS check your scooter over before you leave the airport and file a complaint if damage has occurred. Southwest works with a world wide repair company , Global. I have always received excellent service, twice given me a replacement scooter on my vacation, once even provided a brand new replacement. This post is not to scare you but make you aware damage does occur and be prepared. On the other hand, the last six flights I have taken, there’s been no damage. Once I was presented my mobility scooter front wheel separate from the unit as I deplaned. The pilot witnessed, went back to retrieve his tools and attached the wheel! My loyalty with flying goes to Southwest!!

I received one also, and not sure either. Thought for sure it was the 2x CP points promotion but that doesn't end until November. Thought it would be a one time deposit of points. I'll take it though.
Too bad this time of year you can't apply bonus points like that toward the next year. 🙂 already earned CP this year, but thankful for the offer. Some years I would need it!
Same, I actually earned it earlier than ever before this time, usually it's reliable to count on November/December.

Been waiting as well. Pretty sure with the bonus points I will hit the companion pass. Once we hit it we can use it for the rest of this year and next year correct?
That's right! So the sooner the better, but at least as long as it hits this year you'll get it for all next year.

I have registered but perhaps u can help me with this. Few days ago I was given 90 action reward points bonus. This does not make sense for the 25% offer when I spent approximately $8000 in that time period. Perhaps I am wrong to think this action reward bonus just given is from the credit card but I can not get an answer from Southwest. Thanks

I'm not able to reproduce this but I sometimes run into issues of pages failing to load if my browser's cookie file gets corrupted for the website in question. Try clearing the cookies and data for Southwest.com for the Safari browser and try loading again.
