Have you received the email from a recruiter yet? I’m still waiting to hear that my background is cleared with sterling, I had to do all of the work myself and called sterling so many times before I even heard back from the southwest screening coordinator, now supposedly it’s “complete” again (this time with more information) according to sterling, but I haven’t received it and haven’t heard from southwest, so the wait continues and then after I finally do receive it, it sounds like I could wait again for 100 percent assurance from a recruiter. This process holds many lessons! The last week has been incredibly stressful and it was mostly unnecessary stress as getting a call back about my report before five days passed when I was given 5 days to reach out and resolve it, would have been helpful, but I need to let go. I know how busy they must be right now. I’m waiting again knowing it’s “complete” but not knowing where I stand. I think I know 🙏🏻 Others that had their background checks start the same week that I did, most of you? Heard back two weeks ago right? I’ve had the same job for seven years, but they didn’t have my “consent” to contact them even though I basically begged them to and gave them every way to possibly do it then just had my manager craft an email with dates on company letterhead and still I wait. It’s out of my hands now. Whatever will be will be...I just want to know what will be 😂🙏🏻 Thank you for the comradeship! Hi Klovett,  I have not, just the email everyone probably received about how long the process might take, 4-6 weeks. Still have the physical test on the 17th, but also still waiting for a request for fingerprints and a drug test. I’ll rest a bit once I’ve received that, but in the meantime trying not to look obsessively at my email...without much success. My current boss said that he hadn’t been contacted yet... Hi, yes, it seemed to be a couple of hours! I received an email from southwest asking if I was still interested in the position of flight attendant. I had shown interest in the past, I can’t remember if it was just being on the job alerts board or if I’d sent in a resume a long time ago. Anyway, I saw it the night before, whipped up a current and tailored resume, set an alarm to go off at 9:59 to apply as soon as it posted. Hello! I’m not sure there are options? When they said CA residents, I assumed/hoped that they wanted hires for both, but during the interview the recruiter, Stephanie, asked where I lived (in LA county) and told me that I’d start based in Oakland. I’ve always, ALWAYS wanted to move to Northern California, but couldn’t afford it and just now after my entire life in LA county and 10 years in LA proper began to really love it. 😂 Also, the place I signed a lease for two weeks before southwest announced hiring is wonderful! I love my place, but it seems Oakland, at least for a bit, is meant to be! Also – that airport is so much more relaxed and easier to get to.
