Transforming Lives Through Upcycling: Repurpose with Purpose is Southwest Airlines award-winning signature program that gives back to communities all over the world, helping Southwest show its Heart for the Planet. Recently, Southwest welcomed Wearsos as a Repurpose with Purpose partner. Wearsos is dedicated to transforming lives through upcycling and providing employment opportunities for marginalized individuals, while also championing women empowerment and creating impact within communities in Costa Rica. Using donated aircraft seat leather from Southwest, the Wearsos Do Good Collection of bags and accessories is handcrafted by artisans in the heart of Turrialba, Costa Rica. A Final Salute: Southwest Airlines has a decades-long history of supporting our military and the families of those in the service. Earlier this year, the son of one of our Southwest Families was lost in a tragic Marine Corps helicopter crash, along with four other Marines. With the focus on the military and supporting each other, our People jumped right in to make things happen so we could all deliver a final salute to Marine Sgt.
