Nashville recording artist David Nail continues his Southwest Airlines Journeys. Here is a recent report from his concert in Dallas. So we left Nashville for San Antonio, which was a very pleasant flight indeed! Had a great radio show with Y100 there. Decided to drive up to Dallas last night so we could sleep in! It was a great decision in my opinion. We have a show with 96.3 here in Dallas, and then it's home to Nashville for a night! Starting to release some of the Lady Antebellum dates, to say we're excited about playing with them would be the understatement of the year! Can't wait, see you in the air soon!

Regular followers of Nuts About Southwest know that songwriter/singer David Nail has been blogging about his frequent travels as a Customer of Southwest Airlines. In this installment, David writes about a trip that will allow him to give back to the community. So after a week of dealing with flood/throat issues, I'm finally ready to get back out on the road. This week I'll be visiting a place that has quickly become my home away from home. Those of you who know me, or have read anything at all about me, know my work with The Payton Wright foundation has become one of my utmost priorities. I've grown so close to the Wright family in the past year, and they've become more like family. I will be playing in the second annual Payton Wright Golf Tournament this Friday. I can't wait to see Patrick and Holly and their two little girls. My manager and I will be flying down Thursday morning (Southwest of course), so we'll have more or less two days with them. Please take five minutes and read about Payton's story: www.paytonwright.org. I realize we are in a time when everyone is affected in some way shape or form by the reality of cancer, and though cancer and death are never easy, it's certainly much more powerful when it takes a young five-year-old girl. I pray that you will be moved like I've been moved by this little girl. It truly is a remarkable story. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you in the sky, or at a show soon!!!

Up and coming singer/songwriter David Nail contributes his second "Journeys" post. His first post is available here. So I made it to Vegas, which was in fact bumpy, but also a beautiful ride in! I had never seen Hoover Dam from the sky, but I did on Saturday as we flew in from Denver. It still fascinates me how you can jump around from coast to coast so quickly. I want to give Flight Attendant Candy from Las Vegas a shout out for being so sweet to me on the flight. I'm a known nervous flyer, and on most every flight I try and reach out to the attendants. I suppose it comforts me to make them aware of my concern, and they always tend to check on me more often to let me know nothing's out of the ordinary. Since I've been in Vegas, I've been sick, and forced to stay two days later than expected. We played Saturday night with my friend Billy Currington at the Sunset Station Casino, and I want to thank Sunset Station for allowing me to stay the past couple days as I try and recoup. I'll be back on that big blue and yellow plane tomorrow heading for home. I connect through Austin, which is good, I probably need a little Texas! It looks like I may have to cancel some things this week, and try and get back to 100 percent, health wise. I hope you guys go out and find my new single "Turning Home." For you "frequent flyers," I'm sure you'll relate. I'm honored to be blogging for SWA, for it's a company I not only trust with my life, but one's whose customer service is unmatched. Look forward to seeing you up in the air soon!

Singer/songwriter David Nail is a frequent Southwest Customer, and he begins what we hope will be regular reports from the road by David: Southwest to Phoenix Well it was bumpy into Las Vegas, which I knew would probably be the case since it has been each time I fly in there. They tell me it's because of the winds and heat in the desert. A tiny layover before boarding for Phoenix. Had a small end of the year party with my Nashville Predator pals last night. I only saw 5 games this year, which isn't good at all! I was A-6 boarding this flight, and I'm A-1 for the next one! What that means is "I'm a baller"! Ha Ha! It's also a blessing because you have no idea what it's like trying to put a guitar in the overhead 100 times a year. How long is it gonna take me to fly to Panama City Beach when service starts? Answer is not very long! Well peace out my fellow SWA-lover friends, and hopefully I'll see you in the sky soon! Check out David's biography in the pdf file attached below.
