Where do I begin my campaign to get Direct Flights back from Atlanta to Buffalo. Before Southwest took over AirTran there were 4 to 5 direct flights a day. Now there are none. In addition to U.S. business travelers, Buffalo is a hub for thousands of travelers from Ontario Canada who do not want to fly out of Toronto to head south. I don't understand customer service if you have removed ALL flights. Please help me to contact someone who will underatnd this situation and at least reinstitue one direct flight a day. I underatnd that profits drive everything, but at least meet the customer 1/2 way on this one and reinstitute a direct flight between these cities. Please put your money where your mouth is on this one and do not degrade the service anymore, thanks.

At Southwest Airlines, we already know that we speak our own little language—one full of LUV and Southwest Spirit. But aside from our FUN culture references, we’ve found that we use slightly different terminology than our Friends at AirTran—and we really notice it here in the Operations Coordination Center (OCC).
See, while our folks are working hard in the OCC, their AirTran counterparts are working away in their SOC (Systems Operations Center). Although our OCC and AirTran’s SOC have most of the same functionality, you’ll find that we use some slightly different words. So here’s our cheat sheet for when Southwest says “potato” and AirTran replies “potahto.” Southwest AirTran Operations Coordination Center (OCC) Systems Operations Center (SOC) Superintendent of Dispatch (SOD) SOC Duty Manager Customer Service Coordinator (CSC) Passenger Planner Specialist Key User ATC Coordinator Network Manager Enroute Method 1 Driftdown Method 2 Ops Binder Pilot Supplement SWIFT Sabre OPC/OpsWin AeroData WSI Fusion Flight Explorer
