I cannot send you a screenshot because i removed the app from my phone. It did not work. It instructed me to go to Google Play to download the updated app byt Google Play will not let me because it is incompatable with my phone now. All my other apps work fine.

This situation has tarnished the reputation of Southwest. This is a very customer unfriendly policy. It would cost them next to nothing to tweak a couple lines of code to fix this. I would not be surprised if the only reason the APP does not work is because a line of code tells it not to funtion on certain Android versions. Despite what people have said in this thread, all of my other APPs continue to function.

What you interpret as anger is just a response to the condecending and arrogant attitude similar to your. Since you do not work for Southwest, you should not and cannot speak for Southwest. That means your statements are meaningless. I was told my other APPS would stop working a year ago. Guess what, they all still work. It is Southwest what has chosen to write off certain customers. Southwest has a reputation for customer service. This case has proven to me and others, that is not the case.

First, If you don't work for Southwest then what is your interest in attacking other users here. If the APP works for you, that is great. It does not work for me and others. What you offer as a solution is not a solution for many of us. Since you want to impose your solution on others, your attitude fits the definition of arrogance. Your interest in imposing a solution on others strongly suggests you work for Southwest. If you do, you are not cut from the customer service mold of Southwest. As one person suggested on this thread, Southwest should remove the heart from its planes.

The solution is for Southwest to fix the APP not for me to jump through hoops to be a Southwest customer. My phone works well and all of my other APPS work well. Southwest just abandoned some of its customers.

It was you that gave us attitude. We are the customer. All of our other APPS work fine and we have phones which work. Who are you to tell me I should throw a perfectly good phone a way just to do business with one company? There are other airlines. Southwest has a reputation for customer service. Many of us do not want to go out an buy a new device just because one app (Southwest) does not seem interested in our business. I can do a lot more complex things with my device than the Southwest app does. Southwest has just decided to abandon this group of customers. You are sounding arrogant! Yes, some of my apps might stop working some time in the future but they are work now except for the Southwest app. For example Uber works just fine and it shows me the location of Uber cars in real time. That is more complicated than the Southwest app. My banking apps work and I can even depost checks without going to the bank. Again that is more complicated than anything the Southwest app does. I guess those organizations care more about our business than Southwest does. I hope you do not work for Southwest.

Last evening I tried to use the Southwest app on my android phone. The app gave me a message it was being retired and instructed me to download the new app. When I go to Google Play, the new app comes up as incompatible with my device. If the apps for other airlines work, I might be inclined to choose those airlines.
