Has anyone else out there not received their email from Onboarding after 3-5 days?
It's been over a week for me and nothing. I start in a week and I'm kinda getting nervous. I've been checking every mail folder I have and nothing. I've emailed Onboarding a few days ago and still haven't heard.
I know SWA is hiring like crazy so I'm hoping mine is coming but from what I've been seeing here, I'm one of the few who hasn't received mine yet.

@ShellyV I think you'll be busy as well out there in SAN! I would think it was a busy airport as well. DEN is growing! There are new gates being added onto Concourse C. It's going to be nuts but I enjoy being busy.

Hey @williamh! I'll be training for Ops Agent in DEN. My oldest lives near IAH so I was hoping to fly down from Dallas while I'm in training there. It'll be nice to see him since I haven't seen him since he left Denver. Like I said, even if it's just for the day, it'll be nice to see him. While we're in Dallas, do we get any days off or is it all training for 2 weeks?

Hi there @Rfritzjr70! From what we've been hearing the TOPS will be opening back up next week on the 28th. When I went through the interview process, they even asked if I would be available to attend training in Dallas for 2 weeks. So chances are, yes, we will be having training in Dallas.
BTW, I'm also in DEN. Perhaps we'll see each other!

I think it depends on what you applied for and where the job is located.
DEN as an airport is hiring like mad because they are expanding. SW alone will be gaining about 18 gates from what I heard from one person who is currently working at the construction site. So I think that may have something to do with it??

I thought I would share how quickly the process has been for me over here in Denver.
1/27 - Completed application online. I did not intend to leave my job, I love my job
1/28 - Email received for Phone Interview
2/2 - Phone interview completed (I was so giggly! I giggle tons when I'm nervous). Tip: Just be yourself!!!
2/8 - Virtual Interview completed and received CJO. Both of our connections were poo so we ended up on the phone to conduct it. Again, I was giggling. Be yourself, folks!!
2/9 - Email received from the Employment Screening Coordinator explaining how to obtain drug test and then a separate email for fingerprinting. Tip: Search for Quest Diagnostics in Google Maps. The website was giving me the wrong spot to get my drug test done. Tons of places for fingerprinting in the Denver Metro area! Got my background disclosure signed. Got everything done on 2/10
2/16 - Employment Screening complete email received (longest week ever!!)
2/16 - Email from Recruiter to upload the actual CDC card, not a doctor signed vax document with vax dates listed. So be sure to scan your CDC vax card!!! Got that uploaded the same day.
2/18 - Received email stating start date is March 7th. Will be receiving additional onboarding details soon.
Holy heck, that was a crazy 2 weeks!!!!
During this same time, I told my employer what I was doing. I work for a state government agency so things move slowly to get someone into a position. I wanted to be completely transparent with them. I submitted my resignation today so they can post it internally next week. Been told by all that I cannot leave and they would say horrible things if asked (they were kidding!!). I also found a new apartment to live out by the airport (new build, 10 min drive!). My current lease is up in May and I can move into my new place at the end of April. Also gained a new beau too... talk about a trifecta!
I just wanted yall to know how things went with my process. I hope this helps someone else!!
BTW, DEN is still needing Ops Agents!! Come apply!!

DUDE! I do the same exact thing @Av8orCree! My email provider doesn't notify me as to when I receive an email so I'm always popping it up. I'm just waiting on backgrounds, which I'll pass so I'm not concerned there. Now, I know that weekends probably won't have anything happen but still! 😂
That sucks that you won't get to go train in Dallas. We could have teamed up for the Ops/Ramp Olympics! hahaha! That's awesome that you get to start in a couple of weeks. Are you excited? Nervous? I'm excited, nervous, and a bit scared. I just want to do an outstanding job.

I applied for Ops agent and they asked me in both interviews what I thought an Ops agent does. They didn't ask me much in the way of the history or mission statement. I did do my homework though, just in case.

I have to say @Av8orCree, I'm a bit jealous that you get to pilot the monorail! I love taking that trip around the park. I would DEFINITELY try to keep DL too! It's also awesome you have your private pilot's license! That's one of my dreams is to at least get behind the controls and fly a plane. When I was a kid, one of the jobs I wanted to have was to be a fighter pilot. Little did I know I needed to have excellent grades... LOL

Hi everyone,
I have a CJO, just waiting on everything to come back but I'm confident that I won't have any problems nor do I need to wait on USPS. I'm curious as to if during training, does one gets weekends off?
My oldest son lives in Houston and I'd love to go visit him, even if that means only 24 hrs. I haven't seen him since he took a job down there last year. I'd like to fly from DAL to IAH. Think that this may be possible?

I completed my fingerprints and drug test today. They are hoping to get me in by March 1st but she said that in all likelihood, it will be mid-March or early April. My boss told me not to put in my notice until I get a solid start date.
I've noticed that people who have been hired are given at least 2 weeks so they can settle things. So hopefully you and I will be given the same! As you saw, it has been a whirlwind experience for me. 2 weeks went from applying to CJO - it's nuts!

I asked my recruiter about vacation because I have a trip to Disney World scheduled. She advised me that it would be something to ask your leader but she did mention that there are shift swaps that could be available. I would imagine you will be able to take some type of leave/swapping you can utilize. You should have a couple of days of leave that you will be able to use too.

It's funny you mentioned the SW Store, I've already explored the site and made some favorites. I thought about purchasing from the site, but I'll be in Dallas so thinking of buying it in person. Although, maybe the Store is closed? It says temporarily closed on Google Maps.
Anyway, your process was pretty long! Congrats on the new raise! I was in the same boat!
I recently received my airport badge because I'm a volunteer at the DEN airport. Perhaps one less step for me? Call me crazy but like yourself, I love being around planes! I was saying the SAME thing when I was driving out towards DEN and saw 4 of OUR planes ( as you would say). Brought a huge smile to my face and was just in a state of disbelief!
SNA is one of my favorite airports - only because Disneyland is right nearby... LOL.. fun fact, Disney World in Florida is the same age as Southwest! Both were founded in 1971. I'm a Disney nerd.

I was offered and accepted the position of Ops Agent, got that email yesterday. Depending on checks and such, they are hoping to get me in on 3/1. Received the drug test/fingerprint email today. It's happening oh so fast!
I told my boss today that I have a contingent offer and he was like darn (but with an mn instead of rn)... lol.. he's happy for me though and excited. He also flies SW so I told him that perhaps I'll be seeing him as he boards a flight.
Have you heard anything? I have my fingers, toes, eyes crossed for you! I wanna keep in touch with you! I wish they had a messaging way to chat back and forth.

Excellent question @noramx3! I plan on mentioning it for my CSA phone interview as well as my Ops Agent interview. I'm leaning more towards the Ops position as I think I will excel at that. But, I'll take whichever spot SWA will want me in! I'll go ahead with the CSA virtual interview if they want me to continue.

Yes, that means you are progressing or at least I believe it is. My CSA application had said In Progress before I received the email to set up a phone interview. Perhaps the recruiter just hasn't been able to email you? Make sure you are checking your SPAM/JUNK folders!!!!! Just because one email made it to your inbox, doesn't mean the others will! 😁
Hopefully, I'll be a coheart along with you! I have 2 interviews on Tuesday. One is for CSA over the phone and the other is for Ops Agent and that is virtual. Both spots are out of DEN.
