Can I watch movies on Southwest flights with an older iPad?

sure, as long as that I-Pad has a sufficiently current  IOS version

The Inflight Entertainment Portal supports iPads running iPadOS 15.0 and above. Older versions of iPadOS may still work with reduced functionality.

I’ve decided to “watch” the movie on my iPhone and mirror it to my Android tablet. Hopefully that will work.
