The wording in the fine print description is per person, but assuming you do this online I think it is only going to offer you three methods per reservation (regardless of how many people).
However, one way to split it up is to book one-way tickets for your trip, that will in practice extend it to six methods per reservation if that's enough.
Otherwise you may have to call if you needed to use all twelve gift cards.
