Hi - 2 bags per customer are free on SWA. Not sure what you're referring to here!

Not sure where the $25 per bag comes from, since Southwest advertises that the first two bags are "free" (included in the price of the ticket).

 

You pay no more for two bags than you do zero bags.

Unless you have a third bag, your bags flew free.  So now that you're corrected, you can at any time delete your thread.  Love SWA and the no bag charge policy.

You mean how do they bundle it in the regular price? I think because it helps the aircraft turn faster with fewer carry-ons*

 

People know its included and do the math when they look at the ultra low cost carriers about what extras they might be paying.

 

*on average...have certainly seen a few busting at the seams overhead bin flights this year.

While the fee for checked bags may be an added expense for passengers, it's a standard practice among many airlines, and SWA has made efforts to be transparent about their fees and offers competitive pricing in other areas.
